Providing Central Virginia Schools with Vegetables

It starts with the land.

We are the grateful proprietors of a 110-acre farm property (that's it, to the left!), designed for both function and beauty, and ripe with potential.

Future development plans for the property include installation of hydroponic growing facilities, multiple greenhouses, and a multi-purpose building -- all connected by a mile-long walking path that can be enjoyed by the community.

Focus on education.

There was once a time when farming was the most common skill in America. Growing one's own food was a part of everyday life.

Oh, how times have changed..

Today, basic agriculture skills are a rarity, especially among young people.

At CCS, we believe kids should know how to grow food, make healthy dietary choices, and care for the planet. Our hands-on classes will cover the whole process, from the field to the dinner table.

Tech Feature:
Greenhouses

Greenhouses are a key tool for growing food year-round--especially in central Virginia's chilly winters! Naturally moderating temperature, conserving moisture, and limiting pests, greenhouses can help optimize small-scale crop yields in a more eco-friendly (and human-friendly!) manner.

Our cutting-edge greenhouse facilities will be connected via a walking path, facilitating the harvesting process while also allowing the community to take a stroll and enjoy views of the fields and sunsets on our scenic farm.
